Thank you for your help in the past. Your help if very dear to me.
Here is another exercise.
I am naming a biomedical technology, which might someday become known.
As a first step it needs to be approved by peer reviewers, which are largely in US.
So it has to sound reasonably serious, scientific, medical and friendly.
(For example, notice how technologies called CAT scan or CARs immunotherapy became popular. I do believe a good name helps).
Here are few options
TORE - Transgenic Optogenetic Regulator of Expression
DOROTE - designer optogenetic regulator of transgene expression
BORTE - bistable optogenetic regulation of Transgene expression
BORTES - .. system
BOCOT - bystable optogenetic control of transgenes
TORES - Temporal Optogenetic Regulation of Expression system
TOR - Temporal Optogenetic Regulator,
OCOTE - optogenetic control over transgene expression
OCOTES ... system
OCOGE - .... gene expression
OROTE - ... regulation ....
OCTEV -... vector
ROCTES - red....
ORTEC - ... construc
ORGES (hm.. sounds like ORGIES)
OCOT - optogenetic control over transgene
ROCE - red ...
ORTT - optogenetic regulation of transgene transcription
OCTT - optogenetic control over ...
OTR - optogenetic transgene regulation
OER or OGER- optogenetic expression regulation
OGR - optogenetic gene regulation (not a good idea)
OGC - optogenetic gene control
OGEC - optogenetic expression control
OTEC - optogenetic transgene expression control
OTTC - optogenetic transgene transcription control
you get the idea.
There are several more possible permutations...
Keep in mind that Control = Regulation and Expression = Transcription, can not use both at once.
To start from a letter other than O would be hard. I could think of first word Transsgenic, Temporal, Engineered, Synthetic, or Designer, but incorporation of these words may look a bit cheesy, since they don't carry useful information.
Help me choose.
