Marriage - is it good or bad?
Hi all! I noticed that the word 'marriage' in several languages has homonyms with negative sense.
For example, Russian word брак means 'marriage' and the very same word means defective goods.
In Spanish esposa means 'wife' and 'handcuffs'
Norwegian word gift is 'married person' and 'poison'.
I wonder if in other languages words with meaning of 'marriage/wife/husband' have homonyms with negative sense.
