An interesting question arose in the course of one discussion: is here a language (or can there be one, theoretically) that has no homonyms (homophones, homographs) i.e. in which all "words" (whatever is understood by that term) are different and there isn't a singe pair sounding or written in the same way?

If you could show me a scholarly opinion on this subjet, it would be the best.
