Second language acquisition...

Hello!

I am currently taking a university course in 2nd language acquisition (my mother tongue is German and I am studying English) and I am most interested in the topic of learner differences like age, sex, aptitude and motivation.

Are there any current studies, articles, essays etc. that you would recommend additional to the normal textbooks like Savilla-Troike, Mitchell/Myles and so on. I am exspecially interested in clinical studies and the likes.

Anything you could recommend would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
