coach breaks

Correct me if I'm wrong.
1) 'Coach breaks' are short tours by coach.
2) It can be associated with such concept as escape (like one from a groove), or with a need for a short break when we are "weary with toil".
3) It is mainly used in British English (and is not in common use among Americans).

Thanks in advance.
