Amharic?

Is there anyone, anyone at all, who can tell me the difference in nuance between these words for "understanding"?

(I actually have the Ge'ez characters in front of me, but am not sure the font will transfer...The font is "GF Zemen Primary.")

¡¦Tb
a’məro
አእምሮ

¡ÂTb
ayməro
አይምሮ

‚MF’‰
bələhənnāt
ብልህነት

ׂ‚’‰
gəbəbbənnāt
ግብብነት

(Yeah... the Ge'ez characters are not transferring at all.) Thanks spamsink for the Unicode page! (Chances are those in a position to help me would have this sort of thing enabled on their own computers, I hope, fingers crossed...? :-D)

I'm trying to get a meaning that has the connotation of understanding between people -- not necessarily "book learning" or wisdom, but closer to "empathy."

I'm looking in the Concise Amharic Dictionary by Wolf Leslau, Dictionary of the Amharic language By Charles William Isenberg, and Amharic-English Dictionary by Thomas Leiper Kane.

Many thanks.
