Japanese food/language question

My google-fu has failed me.

My family (American) loves Japanese food and we happily have a good Asian grocery near us so we can make it ourselves.
Our 4yo is nuts about onigiri, and her favorite topping is Ebi Fumi Furikake.  She grilled me (so to speak) on the words -- ebi/shrimp we knew from restaurant menus.  Furikake/rice seasoning we figured out quickly by comparing labels.

But we can't figure out "fumi", and actually I'd like to know the word-origin of "furikake" because the internet has some ...variations.    ("turns your food blue?"   Definitely time to go to a more reliable source.)

Can you help me here?  My reliability as an omniscient parent is in jeopardy!
