Pronunciation of "groceries"

I am from the Pacific Northwest, and I grew up pronouncing groceries ['groʊʃriz]. I realized that this wasn't how everyone else was necessarily pronouncing it, so I checked with several online dictionaries, and they told me that/ˈɡroʊs(ə)riz/ is correct. Although they make the schwa optional between the /s/ and the /r/, I think if I were to pronounce it with an /s/ sound instead of a /ʃ/ ("sh") sound, I would include the schwa--the "sr" is hard for me to pronounce without it. How do you pronounce it and where are you from?
