German help!

I'm trying to write a short story that has a soldier trying to keep his friend alive.  He's trying to say, "You must wake up!  You must not leave me!"

My initial translation was fairly accurate, however when I went to Google Translate, it came up:
"Sie müssen aufwachen! Sie müssen nicht mich verlassen!"

However, I kept thinking that because they're two friends, it should be "Du musst"., but I don't know if it's just my brain trying to translate it the French way.

  • 諦める and 諦めがつく

Is there a difference between 諦める and 諦めがつく?

I am having trouble understanding what "グズグズ" means in this sentence: あのグズグズだった頃の俺の心がお前となぁなぁになる事をまだ許していないのは確かだ Could someone explain?
