Contact lenses in French

A quick question:

What verbs would you use, in French, to say "to put in/to insert contact lenses" and "to take out contact lenses"?

I think "to put in" is "se mettre les lentilles" but I'm not sure about "to take out" - enlever? retirer?

Thanks in advance!
