Standstill in Catalan

I feel like I've reached a standstill in my studies of Catalan. I began studying it in June of last year and was using mainly, Wikipedia for reading practice, and occasionally for listening comprehension. I've found that I learned to be able to read Catalan with relative ease but I have a very difficult time producing my own sentences. I'm considering buying "Teach Yourself Complete Catalan" and working through that to get my level up. Do you have any recommendations as to what I could do to get past this standstill and expand my skill set from being just reading and listening to including writing and speaking?
