Introduction

Hello, all!

My name is Ami and, alas, English is my only fluent language. I made it count, however, since I have my degree in English Literature. My minor is in Classics, but I'm much better at translating out of Latin than into it. Somehow, I always get the endings mixed up when I try to translate from English.

I'm from outside Philadelphia, which I'm sure affects my English (heavy influences from the Pennsylvania Dutch) but I also lived in England for two years, ages 4-6, so British phrases have been known to creep in, too.

Thirdly, I'm a writer, so language of all kinds is just fascinating to me. I hope nobody minds me 'picking their brains' for story details!
