Another question!

I didn't want to include this question in the last post...

My cat has been sick and I've had to force feed him. I realized that I can feed my cat with food.. but what would I say if I were giving him water? Drinking him? Can't be right. Is there a transitive verb that exists for this? What about other languages? I certainly wouldn't say that I am feeding my cat with water.

to eat = to feed
to drink = ????
