Singular-plural quantifiers

(The last post made me think of this.)

In English, we have some quantifiers that indicate a plural object while using singular structure - ie.

"Many a day" to mean "many days"

or

"Nary a word" to mean "no words."

Italian also has this:

"qualche volta" means "alcune volte."

What other examples of this are there? Does it have a name?
