Does Chinese really distinguish aspirated consonants?

I just read in wikipedia that Mandarin has "no voiced initials" and then saw, under their article about Mandarin phonology, that what pinyin describes as "d" is apparently an aspirated /t/.
That really contradicts my experience with the language. Am I missing something?

  • Polish translation, please

A coworker gave my dad this bottle of vodka (it has grass in it!), and I'm dying to know what the text says. Can anyone help?

  • some Arabic (?) phrases

These are from a novel from Philip Roth. I'm sure the author doesn't speak Arabic, so presumably he had somebody to translate and transliterate…

  • グズグズ meaning

I am having trouble understanding what "グズグズ" means in this sentence: あのグズグズだった頃の俺の心がお前となぁなぁになる事をまだ許していないのは確かだ Could someone explain?
