Have I made the wrong choice?

I've been studying Danish intensively for a month now (for pleasure) and have been doing quite well I think, and I've even developed a good accent (which is quite a challenge for Danish) so-much-so, that Danes have complimented me. Despite this, I'm having serious trouble learning to listen. I'm also under the impression that I've made the wrong choice and I should have started on Swedish.

So in short: Which would you rather study? Swedish/Danish? Which, perhaps, would be the most useful?*

I also do Turkish and Scientific German with good degrees of success.
