A friend posted a question about the word "conscion"--as in, "I can't conscion causing pain to an animal." It sounds fine to me, but I don't know that I use it. It's not listed in dictionaries, but that doesn't mean it's not a fine word. Does anyone else recognize "conscion" as a word, either in your own usage or that of someone you've heard? Where are you from--and if you're willing, what's your approximate age?
