I need some help translating into German

I'm completey afraid of butchering what needs to go into one of my stories and so I could really use some help here!

The first phrase I want to say is, "Don't be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you."

It's supposed to be spoken in a very friendly way.  And then I also have this phrase:

"The tanks are coming."

I know the German word for tank is "panzer" but I'm not sure how to word the rest of this sentence.  I've got an idea, but I'm fairly certain that it is wrong.  I'm trying to edit the story so I can post it within the next hour or so.  I know it's a bit rushed, but the people I usually ask for help are quite busy at the moment and I have no one else to turn to.
