That vs. Which

Sorry if this was posted before.  I currently work as a translator - mostly Hebrew to English, and I can't for the life of me, figure out when to use "which" as opposed to "that".  I looked it up online, but the explanations confuse me.  I have no translator training other than growing up bilingual, so I'm kind of learning on the job.  That said, all the fancy English grammar terms are more or less way over my head.

Is there any quick, easy to remember rule that says when to use what?

Thanks!
