Sorry if there's another place I should be asking this, but I was wondering if any of you might be able to point me towards some good resources for the English speaker interested in learning German and Dutch? A friend has lent me the "Teach Yourself" sets for both of these languages, and while I'd love to just stick with them I've read some pretty mixed things concerning their comprehensiveness and overall accuracy (particularly wrt. the audio supplements).
For what it's worth, I'm a classics major with three years of Latin and Greek under my belt so the idea of using something a little more intensive doesn't really bother me. Mostly I'm just interested in gaining as accurate a view of the above as I can outside of a classroom setting.
Let me know! :]
