gramatical genealogy

I'm looking at the similarities between languages as an argument for their inclusion. I've found a study that says that (of 80,000 English words) the English vocabulary is:
  • 29% French
  • 29% Latin
  • 26% Germanic
  • 6% Greek
  • 4% Proper-noun-derived
  • 6% Other/unknown

Do you know anything about weighted influence gramatically that languages have had?
