Ibragimov

I'm curious about the surname Ibragimov. From what I gather, it's a relatively common Muslim surname throughout the former USSR (from Googling, I've found people with this surname from Daghestan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, etc.), but what I want to know is whether this name is exclusively used by Muslims, or by Christians as well. I assume the "Ibragim" part comes from Ibrahim, the Arabic equivalent of Авраам, so would the Christian equivalent be Avraamov? Also, is this surname limited to ex-USSR countries, or can it be found elsewhere? For instance, would any Bosniaks have this name?
