Parts of Speech

Doing a bit of development, and I need to get as comprehensive a list as I can of parts of speech (including subcategories thereof, e.g. types of nouns, verbs, etc.). I'll seed the list with what I can think of off the top of my head, any that anyone else can add to the list is greatly appreciated! If anyone wants to tackle tenses and cases, that's awesome, too! If anything included is particularly obscure, please include mention of a language where it appears.

  • noun (common, proper)
  • verb (regular/irregular, strong/weak, type I/II, etc.)
  • pronoun (1st/2nd/3rd person, singular/dual (c.f. Old English)/plural)
  • adjective
  • adverb
  • adposition (preposition, postposition)
  • affix (prefix, infix, suffix)
  • conjunction (coordinating)
  • particle (subject, topic, genitive, interjectory, ending, inquisitive)
  • onomatopoeia
