Doing revision for a Linguistics exam tomorrow which has brought up some queries. For example, /m/ and /p/ are bilabial plosives, but why don't you need to put -nasal in /p/'s distinctive features?
Also is vowel length distinctive in English? At first I thought yes but then I thought no and now I'm confused.
