I've noticed an interesting phenomenon among some of my college friends. Most often, my roommate from New Hampshire says "Are you done your project yet?" As a Californian, this sounds odd. I would either say "Have you done your project yet?" or "Are you done with your project yet?" I've only noticed this recently, as earlier I think I was filling in the "with" in my mind. How common is this variant? Of course, if you would say it, give your variety of English.
