Alice fing an sich zu langweilen [.]
I've actually learned a lot from this little strip of text. Now, here are my questions:
First, regarding multiple-part verbs, would anfangen precede langweilen in the future? That is, "Ich werde anfangen langweilen" or "Ich werde langweilen anfangen" or "Ich werde an langweilen fangen" or something completely different?
Secondly, I'm aware that sich is used in reflexive verbs (much like the Romance se), but, if it's used like that in the above case, why does it precede the preposition zu? Maybe I'm accustomed to the Romance structure, as in the French "Je commencerai à m'ennuyer" or the Portuguese "Começarei a me aborrecer."
Thanks for your help!
