Text on shirt?

Never posted here although I lurk, but I finally have a question! I went thrift store shopping recently and I found this shirt with Ukranian (thanks), so I thought I would just post it here and get some help. Thanks!

ETA: So I'd like to know the story behind the meaning and context of it so I am aware of what I'm wearing and can explain it if anyone asked.
