My friends and I are trying to figure this out. They are arguing that sentences don't end in prepositions, which makes sense, and #1 would be false, but #2 sounds weird as well. I figured this was the community to ask in. Which is correct? Are either?

1. "I'm checking her in."

2. "I'm checking in her."
