Speech-language pathology

Does anyone know of top grad schools for speech-language pathology, particularly in California or Illinois? I'm considering UIUC and UNC (where I currently go), and I was wondering if there was anywhere in California that's particularly good.

Additionally, what kind of skills should I have to be an excellent applicant for speech-language pathology? I figure I'd need to be good in phonology and that I'll probably have to learn ASL... anything else?
