"jets" (vogue clothes)

Sorry for posting here twice in a short while... what does "jets" mean in this phrase about an alligator skin dress:
"Broken up in scales, it [poor alligator's skin] - but also eel - combines with jets to create a shiny samurai-cuirass effect"? Thanks!
