Hi, my name is Christy, and I'm a linguaphile.

The only language I'm fluent in is English of the American variety (even though my spelling tends towards the British). I know a very small amount of French, and am learning Finnish. I plan to learn Latin eventually, as well. I know a few words in about a dozen other languages and I absolutely adore learning how to say things in any language other than my own. If you teach me something, I'll give you internet cookies. Or something. :)

I listen to a lot of music in Finnish, so I'll probably be asking for help with translating/interpreting song lyrics more often than anything else.

Nice to meet you, linguaphiles!
