Confusion =S

Okay, so I was listening to a song, and the lyrics go:

"La nuit, je m'accroche à toi."

So... I was wondering why the m' is necessary. =S Doesn't it just mean 'the night, I hang on to you'? =S So why do you need the m'?

Thanks in advance! ♥ ^^
