I am currently in a conundrum and have no idea what to do with my life. While this is a state of mind that I've been harbouring for the past 22 years of my life, I sort of need to make some semblance of a decision within the next two weeks (eep!) for graduate school purposes.
Anyhoo! I've been waffling between earth sciences (while enjoyable, I am regularly ambivalent about them) and something involving languages (languages are awesome!). Right now, I have some proficiency in Japanese and Korean (about high intermediate), as well as low-to-mid intermediate proficiency in Russian and Mandarin Chinese. However, if I chose the language path, I'd have no idea what to do, as I am woefully ignorant of the educational and career possibilities in languages.
So... what does one do with languages these days? What kinds of jobs or grad programs are out there? Any help is more than welcomed.
Thanks everyone! ^ ^
