Newspaper nicknames

Some of the newspapers in the UK have nicknames. You have:

The Daily Mail = The Daily Heil: for their poisonous, xenophobic, misanthropic articles. Also for the fact that they supported Hitler in the 30s (something they keep very quiet about now)
The Telegraph = The Torygraph: read by dyed (blue) in the wool conservatives. Probably wearing tweed.
The Guardian = The Grauniad: from the enormous numbers of typos they used to make in the pre-computer days
(ETA)
The Times = The Thunderer: pompous editorial columns
The Independent = The Indy, and the sunday edition is the Sindy

What other similar nicknames do newspapers in other countries have?
