Hi! I'm trying to self-learn Japanese, i've got the Genki textbooks but i'm looking into doing multiple methods at once (I have sucky, sucky, sucky recall).

I've heard the Pimsleur method mentioned before, but when I searched for it I just got a lot of marketing. Can anyone tell me about it without acting like a pimp trying to offload crack.
