My dad is trying to teach himself French in preparation for our holiday in the summer, and as part of that keeps trying to engage me in converstaion in French about ... stuff in general.

In this particular instance, he wanted to badger me about practising driving, and I wanted to explain why I don't like driving his car much.
We ran into an immediate problem - neither of us knows any of the words we need for this discussion, including but not necessarily limited to:
clutch (and clutch control)
brakes
gear box
steering (and steering wheel)
rev counter
stalling

If anyone could supply us with some driving-related French vocabulary, that would be very useful, thanks :)
