Sociosyntacticians ahoy!

Lately, I've been noticing a weird breed of inverted sentence in my colloquial speech. It's becoming apparent that I know too little about syntax to even try my hand at describing it, so I'll just provide some examples:

"You're getting really into that game, it seems like."

Or:

"How long till we get back home, do you think?"

Does anyone else use this weird kind of construction? Is it a regional or age-based phenomenon, or is it more widespread? Has work been done on it in the past?
