Arabic mishap...

Yet another instance of Arabic script mayhem on public display. I had to take a photo and share.

This example comes from Sephora on the Champs Élysées in Paris. The sign is meant to advertise to Chinese, Arab and Russian shoppers the fact that you can get your 15% VAT back, looks like the Arabic script got the old Microsoft Word jumble and somebody forgot to double check. Oops!

It's not like there are lots of Arabs in Paris who would know...Anyway, it makes perfect sense if you read it backwards and join the letters in your mind. I wonder how the Chinese and Russian are.
