camera obscura
This technically flavored post is, I am well aware of, not exactly suitable for this respectable community, but I suspect that others here may have encountered a similar problem and could offer some consoling remedy ... cameras.
I am desperately looking for a digital camera to photocopy documents and papers in scientific journals, to replace the paper-wasting and space-taking, now caduc practice of xeroxing. My cell-phone (armored with a 3.1 Mpix camera) does not do the job for me. I am not an experienced photographer, so I don't want to move around with a heavy professional camera. What I am looking for is a light, pocket-size, digital camera that one of you know from his/her personal experience as able to deliver decent photos of documents, taken in regular office/library/museum surroundings (with no additional special equipment, like tripods etc.) .
Lamentations over the non-existence of such a mythological creature will be also gratefully accepted...
