Did Nicolaas Beets write in Chinese?

I was surprised to come across a recent reprint of Camera Obscura listed as 'lang: Chinese', so I had a look around and found this list of 'Chinese' books from the same enterprising publisher:

Well, Dutch does look exotic, doesn't it? Just the sort of thing that someone might mistake for Chinese.
