National Anthems
This is something I was thinking about last night, and I wanted to ask you guys:
1. What country are you from, and what is the name of its anthem?
2. What are the words?
3. If not in English, what do they mean? Either a direct translation or just the general idea.
4. Are there any conventions associated with them? For example, hand placed over heart, military salute?
And anything else connected with it.
Thank you. I'll start :D

1. England - God Save The Queen (or King, depending)
2. God save our gracious Queen.
Long live our noble Queen,God save the Queen: Send her victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us: God save the Queen.
5. Tune is the same as 'My Country, Tis of Thee' and the Lichtenstein national anthem.
2. God save our gracious Queen.
Long live our noble Queen,
- O Lord, our God, arise,
- Scatter her enemies,
- And make them fall.
- Confound their politics,
- Frustrate their knavish tricks,
- On Thee our hopes we fix,
- God save us all.
- Thy choicest gifts in store,
- On her be pleased to pour;
- Long may she reign:
- May she defend our laws,
- And ever give us cause
- To sing with heart and voice
- God save the Queen.*
