Hey, I am looking to buy a Latin reference grammar of some sort, mostly so I can familiarize myself with the basics concretely. I don't have any background specifically in Latin, but have studied several Romance languages, other languages with productive case, and linguistics in general. I've been thinking about doing something like this for a while, but the last straw is that I'm currently reading Umberto Eco's The Name of the Rose, and I feel like I'm really missing out on something by not having a precise knowledge of Latin.
So, I'm looking for recommendations for a Latin grammar that's friendly but straightforward and not too expensive. Thoughts?
