Can someone explain the difference between 'Lied' and 'Gesang' for 'song' in German? it seems to me there must be a subtle difference between the two and they probably don't quite mean the same thing. Thanking you in advance for your help.
From what I've read and have been told, many people have learned quite a bit from watching television--namely, cartoons.
I belong to that group of people that loves stuff like Courage the Cowardly Dog and Adventure Time. The dark or quirky humor that is employed in those types of shows gets me every time.
So that leaves me with the question, is anybody familiar with some cartoons in other languages? I am learning Spanish, and I'm trying to learn what I can from my Finnish book till I can get a better one. German is also a language I would like to one day work on. But this is a community, so I don't want anybody holding back. Let's cover whatever languages that we can!
So far my knowledge:
La Leyenda de la Llorona (Spanish)-- It's a movie about a couple of cartoon characters that crash their hot-air balloon into a forest, where the fabled Central/South American ghost haunts, eager to drown lost children as she did to her own.
And I know there's other stuff (I'm pretty sure I've come across it), but at best I can draw a blank.
