Wanted: opinions on a text tattoo

I have been planning to get this quote by Albert Camus tattooed onto my body for a while: "The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion", however the only thing that irks me is the fact that it is translated. I am concerned that the French may mean something different or it may be derpy have a translated quote. What do y'all think? Should I stick with English or a French version?

This is what I have as the original version as of now: "Le seul moyen d'affronter un monde sans liberté est de devenir si absolument libre qu'on fasse de sa propre existence un acte de révolte"

German Translation Request

An elderly relative is getting ready to move, and when I was invited to poke around for bits to lighten the load. Having picked out all of the old dictionaries years ago, I looked elsewhere and happened across a couple of old steins that apparently belonged to my great grandfather. "Deutsches Haus Baltimore" is easy enough to figure out, but I can't quite think of a good way to render a translation on the other one, which is a bit more elaborate. Anyone want to string this together in a decent English translation?
