quick question...

ìs german über cognate with (at least koine, probably ancient and i'm sure in some form modern) greek ὑπερ (not sure of accents besides breathing, sry) ? does anyone know any good reference for questions like this?

humorous linguistics book about and in Dutch/German?

Happy Holidays! I've got one last gift to shop for (don't need it till the 31st). I'm looking for something for a Dutch man whose second best language is German (and lives in Germany).

I was wondering if any of you knew of a humorous book about language that might work. I was thinking of something along the lines of English as a Second F*cking Language, but in and about Dutch or German.

Any ideas? (Or if y'all have some non-linguistics-related ideas that you think are really good, I'd love to hear those, too!)

EDIT: Any ideas what this sort of book might be called in reverse? 'Oh those Germans!' in Dutch? Oh, dieses Niederländisch!: Eine heitere und unterhaltsame Betrachtung zur Sprache unserer Nachbarn
