So I'm playing Civilization 5, and i ran into Nebuchadnezzar, the leader of the Babylonians, and the game found a voice actor to speak for him in what is presumably the language the babylonians spoke. My question is how accurate is this? Do we have any idea what the language of that area sounded like, and how would such a thing be reconstructed?
Just read this CNN article about the work of dialect coaches, which talks specifically about working with the cast of True Blood and also includes a 'how to' section. Nothing very technical, but I thought it was an interesting read.
