I need to write an article in order to present it at a conference at university. The theme is: « foreign languages as a means of competitive specialist successful career ». I’d like to gather ideas and opinions about it.
Is a second language very important for your work? If you spoke several other languages, would it be definitely a “plus” in your career? Did it make a difference when applying for a job? I mean for other jobs than those directly related to languages, like teaching languages, or translations, or working as a receptionist in a hotel.
