There's an Austrian company who sell novelty cameras and deadstock of various Soviet cameras. They have a tendency to overprice things or try to put normal items in a pricy gift set and then try to overmarket with breathless copywriting to shift them, but they do have some nice stuff too. I'm on their mailing list because I sometimes get bulk film off them. Their English marketing emails are always slightly ridiculous, with overblown use of adjectives, like someone's been raiding the thesaurus. Everything is stunning or magical. I've always got the impression that an Austrian person writes the English text. The German version has always seemed slightly less silly to me, but I'm not a native speaker. Am I correct in how I've been reading it, or is their copy ridiculous in German too?
