I'd really like to buy some clothes on taobao, but the sizing chart is an image. I need to know if the child XL serves or will have to be the adult XS. Can anyone help me? >_> (I just wanted to know the translation of the columns, I'm sorry if that was confusing)
As I understand it, it's just the chest measurement. Nothing to do with a specific garment or style. The body measurements are usually given as circumferences, but here they seem to use only half the measurement (i.e. chest/waist from side to side).Normally, the numbers on a sizing chart refer to the whole circumference of chest, waist, hips etc.
Having looked it up, it seems to be a measurement of clothes rather than people, and while "bust" is gender-specific, "chest" is not. I hadn't heard of "half-bust", either.
I looked it up too...it seems to be the shirt equivalent of the inside leg measurement for trousers. Half bust is still applied in lingerie for the form not the measurement. come to think of it - it would be a useful element - too many dresses assume that if you have a certain bust measurement you are tall or 'long waisted' having the bust to waist measurement might make life easier.
Perhaps they have such small chests the front is not very different from the back, so a circumference is not needed? Or the measurements are based on male clothes, where the difference between the front and back probably is even less.
I'm aware of that. Nonetheless, sizing charts (for children's clothes or adult) in the Western world tend to give whole body circumference measurements. I was commenting to the person bringing up different styles of women's undergarments to explain "half bust" that the original question had nothing to do with different garments, but rather just the body measurement – in half.

The columns, from left to right, say size; age range; height; garment length; half bust; sleeve length; half waist. Is that what you want?
