Is this a plausible Yup'ik name?

Is anyone here a Yup'ik speaker? I want to know if Qilangaq, apparently a name for a sort of puffin, is a plausible Yup'ik name for a child. The person in question would be a cousin of the protagonist of the story mentioned in my last posting, who is half Yup'ik, half Aleut. One of her own Yup'ik names is Nalukaq. The other is Unangik.

Also, if anyone can give me examples of Yup'ik names, that could help.

Indeed completely unrelated to linguistic topics per se this blog is AWESOME. I've been reading it all day and bookmarked it!

(from there I have in fact googled quite a bit of Yup'ik topics and found some stuff on youtube... anyway it's been great)

It really is interesting, I thought so too! I looked ahead and it seems she did stop writing it a couple of years ago as she no longer lives in that area. It's interesting what she writes about the language itself too - is it really SO HARD that no one can learn it?! wow...
